Tonight I worked on a possibility for a light fixture in a new friend’s bedroom. The room’s color scheme is based on a Japanese embroidery that hangs on the wall. I thought colored beads and hanging origami cranes folded from vellum or lacquered paper would be fitting.
I must admit, making the mock-up is half the fun. Paper, vellum (the bowls), glass seed beads, thread, embroidery floss, watercolor pencil, crayon, pen, and tiny printed out photos of the crane I folded from vellum.
